Live Racing Meet Begins Saturday

Gaming Operations Yield Another Record In Funding For Education And More

Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack (FLCR) today announced record revenue from gaming operations (GGR) of $129.6 million for the state fiscal year ending March 31, continuing its annual trend of growth since gaming was introduced at the facility in 2004.  Of that number, $87.5 million, which represents a tax rate of 67.5%, supported growth in significant funding primarily for education and agribusiness.
 
More than $61 million of the revenue generated was slated for education in New York, an increase of 4% over the prior year and the highest amount produced since FLCR opened its gaming floor. In total since 2004, more than $450 millionin education funding for New York has been generated from gaming operations at FLCR. Over 47 percentof gaming revenues are earmarked to fund education.

Construction Begins On $12 Million Expansion

As Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack (FLCR) celebrates nine years of gaming operations, construction begins on its largest expansion project since the addition of Video Lottery Terminals (VLT’s) in 2004. With a $12 million expansion slated for completion by November, nearly 33,000 square feet will be added to the northeast corner of the plant that will accommodate space for additional machines, a new dining option, a feature bar/lounge and other amenities.
