The historic Western New York track’s 54th season will begin with the eight-race Opening Day card. Post time for the first race is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Racing gates open at 11:30 am.

Breakin the Fever was named 2015 Finger Lakes (FLGR) “Horse of the Year” at the annual FLGR Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association awards dinner on Saturday. The 3-year-old New York-bred owned and trained by Debra Breed won six of his eight FLGR starts this year.

Mecke's Madalyn wins final stake of Finger Lakes meet

Mecke’s Madalyn rallied to win the second renewal of the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes on Friday at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack. The talented filly owned by Sinatra Thoroughbred Racing took the feature event for New York-bred 2-year-old fillies in a six furlong time of 1:13.44.
