FARMINGTON, N.Y. – The 2020 live racing meet at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) got underway on Monday with Miss Jimmy taking the season opener.

The 4-year-old filly was guided to the triumph by jockey Jeremias Flores. She achieved the victory in a final time of :59.74 for the five furlong distance.

The Bruce Anderson-trainee scored the off-the pace win by a neck margin. She ran down Spartina Splash in the stretch to record the victory and paid $6.00, $3.40 and $3.00. Spartina Splash returned $14.20 and $8.60 for second place. No Stone Unturned held third and paid $4.30.

Anderson and Flores teamed up again in the fourth race to score an upset with Spectacularsociano. The 8-yeaqr-old gelding rallied to earn a one-length triumph at odds of 48-1.

Live racing will continue on Tuesday, July 21 with a 9-race card. FLGR will offer live action three days a week in July with dark days of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Post time for the first race is 1:10 p.m.
