Over 1,000 pounds of food donated
Farmington, N.Y. (March 20, 2020) – Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack and its associates this week worked to package and deliver over 1,000 pounds of food to Gleaners Community Kitchen and the Victor Farmington Food Cupboard.

Donated food items included fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, prepared food and more.

Gleaners Community Kitchen in Canandaigua received approximately 250 pounds of food from Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack. The organization, which is a ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church, has been distributing groceries to those in need two days a week, and giving out lunches five days a week.

The Victor Farmington Food Cupboard received 839 pounds of food from Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack. The organization serves approximately 600 families per month, and has been prepackaging food for those in need during this time.
“As difficult as it is for us to be temporarily closed, we’re glad that we can still help support our community,” said Chris Riegle, general manager of Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack. “We hope the food donation will help our neighbors in need during this trying time.”

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, which is owned and operated by Delaware North, is joining properties across the company in helping their local communities during the shutdowns and closures as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
