FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Officials at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack (FLGR) have canceled the live racing card for Saturday, August 13 in order to maintain horse field size for future racing days on the schedule.

FLGR is essentially at the halfway point of the 155-day meet and maintaining field size throughout the remainder of the meet is the primary concern. With entries for Saturday’s program lagging, it was determined that running five days this week as originally scheduled would increase the difficulty of maintaining competition ready horses in future weeks.

No other changes were made at this time to the racing calendar. After today’s afternoon card, live racing will resume on Monday, August 15. First race post time will be at 1:10 pm.

Simulcast wagering of various tracks throughout the country will remains available daily until 6 p.m, and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The gaming floor, featuring over 1,500 video gaming machines is open daily from 8 a.m. – 4 a.m.
