Mecke’s Madalyn rallied to win the second renewal of the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes on Friday at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack. The talented filly owned by Sinatra Thoroughbred Racing took the feature event for New York-bred 2-year-old fillies in a six furlong time of 1:13.44.

Finger Lakes participants in Retired Racehorse Makeover Competition

Numerous thoroughbreds that were recently retired from competition at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack participated in the Retired Racehorse Project  in Lexington, Kentucky. The event was sponsored by Thoroughbred Charities of America and took place from October 23-25.

A day of celebration and recognition of area charitable organizations came to a close today at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack with the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario-Yates, Inc. taking the top donation prize of $10,000 in the fifth annual Charity Cup this afternoon. Trainer Debra Breed records first career stakes victory

Breakin the Fever was a convincing winner of the $50,000 Ontario County Stakes at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack on Friday. He took the 31st renewal of the dash for New York-bred 3-year-olds by seven and one-quarter lengths.

Trainer Debra Breed registered her first career stakes victory in the sixth race. Breed is also the breeder and owner of the bay gelding.
