Show is ‘Sold Out’ and no tickets are available at the door

FARMINGTON, N.Y. –The Gretchen Wilson concert scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, at Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack as part of the Free Summer Concert Series has officially sold out. Those who do not have tickets at this point will not be able to gain admission to the show and are asked not to arrive at the venue expecting to obtain a ticket. No tickets will be available at the door.

Nearly 6,000 tickets were very quickly obtained by fans at Finger Lakes in less than two days. “Response to this show was even stronger than our Charlie Daniels Band concert,” said Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack president and general manager Chris Riegle. “While we understand that some will be disappointed the show is already sold out, the ticketing system worked perfectly for our last show in keeping the crowd size manageable, allowing attendees to enjoy the show comfortably and preventing any disruption for our neighbors. We look forward to another great night on August 7.”

The new procedure of requiring tickets for admission to the free shows was initiated after a much higher than expected crowd arrived for the REO Speedwagon concert on June 19 and caused severe traffic and parking issues, while also leaving several people unable to attend after the facility reached capacity.

Fans still wishing to attend but without a ticket are encouraged to listen to 92.5 WBEE and follow the Finger Lakes Facebook page for chances to win tickets in the coming weeks.

Concert goers must be 18 years-old or older to attend. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the opening act taking the stage beginning at 7 p.m. Parking is free, however tailgating is prohibited.
